Motor vehicle equipment
Optional Autoplan insurance for your vehicle
covers equipment that is supplied by or is available from the manufacturer.
For other permanently attached equipment,
the coverage depends on the type of vehicle. ICBC divides vehicles
into three types:
- rate group vehicles - These are the most
common. They include most private passenger and light commercial
vehicles.
- declared value vehicles - These are vehicles
that don't fit under rate group vehicles, such as motorcycles,
snowmobiles, golf carts, trailers, industrial machines and vehicles
with a GVW [click
for definition] of more than
5,000 kg.
- motor homes and custom vehicles - This
includes leisure vans, limousines, replicars, replikits, specialty
cars, ubilts and modified commercial vehicles.
The equipment
of a motor vehicle table lists what equipment Autoplan covers
for the different types of vehicles. You will need Adobe Acrobat
