One of the biggest factors affecting your Autoplan premium is your claim record.

Each time that ICBC has to pay out an at-fault [click for definition] Collision or Third Party Liability claim for you, it goes on your record. If you are not at fault for a crash or a claim, it won't affect your premium.

The more crashes you cause and the more claims you make, the more you will pay in insurance premiums. It's as simple as that.

ICBC keeps the "score" using a Claim-Rated Scale.Your place on the scale helps determine your insurance premiums.
