If a vehicle crash causes you or a member of your household [click for definition] to need immediate and ongoing medical life support intervention in an intensive care unit of a hospital or registered care facility within 24 hours of the crash, RoadsidePlus will bring your immediate family members to you. At a time when you already have enough on your mind, you won't need to worry about how your immediate family will get to you.

Who can come?

Family member includes members of your household and members of your or your spouse's immediate family. They must come within 7 days of the crash. They can come from anywhere in the world, within the cost limits of the policy.

What are the limits?

RoadsidePlus will reimburse up to a total of $5,000 per crash to cover travel to the hospital or care facility and return fare home. It will also cover up to a total of $500 per crash for living expenses for family members, things like lodging, meals, telephone calls or other transportation.

However, if you have more than one RoadsidePlus package, your family members will only be reimbursed under one package for any given claim.

The crash must have happened in Canada or the United States.
