Are you ready to take your road test?
Find out here when you can take your road test and how to book it.
When can I take my test? The earliest date you can take your road test is marked between your photo and paper Learner’s (L) licence.
Arrive early. Plan to arrive early — about 15 minutes before your road test appointment begins — to complete the registration process.
Can’t make your appointment? Be sure to call and let us know at least 48 hours ahead of time. Otherwise, there is a $25 cancellation fee.

What should I bring to my road test?
Make sure you bring the following into the office for your road test:
- Your Learner’s (L) driver's licence, plus required ID
- Your vehicle plate number
- Your vehicle registration papers
- The test fee and the fee for your new licence
- Money to pay all debts or tickets to ICBC or the province of B.C. See paying and disputing tickets for details.
Note: To take the test, your vehicle must meet safety standards and be properly insured.
