Steve Crombie - Vice President, Corporate and Stakeholder Governance

Steve CrombieSteve is responsible for overseeing all corporate and stakeholder relations functions including internal & external communications, media relations, government relations, customer relations, and advertising & marketing. He is also responsible for Road Safety, stakeholder engagement & community involvement as well as the departments of the Corporate Secretary & General Counsel. His focus is on providing public awareness, trust and confidence in ICBC.

His extensive experience in communications includes more than 25 years in public affairs, government relations, community consultation, media relations and issues management in the private and public sectors. He most recently served as vice president of communications (transportation division) with SNC-Lavalin Inc., where he was responsible for the public consultation and communications programs for the construction of the Canada Line rapid transit project. Steve also held communications leadership roles with a major Canadian forest products company, Vancouver International Airport Authority, University of British Columbia and progressively senior roles in major media outlets across Canada.

Steve's accomplishments have been recognized by local, national and international awards, including an IABC Gold Quill award for International Business Issues. He has volunteered as a member and director for many community and industry-based associations. He is a current member and past chair of the Jack Webster Foundation, member of Langara College's journalism program advisory committee, and a director of the Communications + Public Relations Foundation (CPRFDN).
