At ICBC, we value your experience on the road. If you've been driving for at least 10 years, you might qualify for additional savings on Optional insurance coverages.
Qualifying for the experienced driver rate class
How to qualify:
- The owner, principal operator, and all members of their households who will be driving the vehicle must have 10 years or more driving experience.
- The vehicle must be at base rate or lower on the claim-rated scale.
The claim-rated scale is based on how many at-fault claims you have made with ICBC.
Info
If your driver's licence has been suspended, prohibited, expired or cancelled for any continuous period of a year or more, that time wouldn't count towards your driving experience.
