RoadStar Loss of Use coverage

Loss of Use coverage comes as part of your RoadStar package. You will get up to $500 for a rental vehicle or reimbursement for replacement transportation when your vehicle is getting repaired or until the claim is settled.

Loss of Use coverage gets you another vehicle when yours is off the road because of a claim. Loss of Use keeps you mobile by giving you the choice of rental car, taxis or public transit. Purchase Loss of Use coverage directly from your Autoplan broker.

What is included

• Up to $500 for substitute transportation.
• Up to $1,000 for motor homes and no daily limit.
• Choice of rental vehicle, taxis or public transit.
• Coverage as soon as your vehicle is off the road until we offer you a settlement, your vehicle is repaired, or until the limit has been reached, whichever occurs first.
• Coverage is provided whether you are at fault or not.

Need a bit extra? With the RoadSide Plus package you will get Loss of Use with a $750 limit.

How to get Loss Of Use

With RoadStar package you will get Loss of Use automatically. You must also have Collision, Comprehensive or Specified Perils coverage to get a payout on your RoadStar Loss of Use. Please note that Loss of Use Coverage does not apply when the amount claimed in damages is less than the deductible.

If you choose to rent a vehicle, it must be a similar make and model specified by us and similar in size to your vehicle.
