ICBC Vehicle Claims History (VCH)
About the Vehicle Claims History service
A Vehicle Claims History provides
you with a report for a specific vehicle. The report
includes (if available in our records) the following:
- Whether or not a vehicle
has a status of rebuilt, salvage, or altered
- A list of any damage claimed
through ICBC
- The date the damage occurred
and its dollar value
- Whether the vehicle has been
imported from another jurisdiction
What you will need
- Vehicle Identification Number
(VIN) for the vehicle you are interested in. See VIN
example.
- Make, model and year of the vehicle.
- A credit card (Visa or MasterCard
only)
How to get one
You can get a Vehicle Claims History
by using our secure online service
or through our phone service:

How the online service works
- You will be asked to accept or decline the statement
of limitations. If you accept, you will proceed to
the next screen. If you decline, the application will
close. See
Statement of Limitations.
- After you enter the VIN, a search result will be
displayed. It will tell you whether information was
found, and will display the VIN, year, make and model
for your confirmation.
- If you click on confirm, you can purchase the Vehicle
Claims History by submitting your credit card information.
If you decline, you will return to the previous screen.
- Your credit card information will be verified, and
the Vehicle Claims History report will be displayed
in the next screen. Click here to see a sample Vehicle

- At this point, you can print a copy of the Vehicle
Claims History. You can also e-mail a copy to yourself.
- After this, you can return to the first screen to
conduct another search if you wish.
