ICBC "No Fault" Accident Benefits

Medical and rehabilitation expenses

Accident Benefits provide reimbursement for reasonable and necessary expenses for medical and rehabilitation services up to a limit of $150,000 for each person injured in a crash. These services may include medical, dental, hospital, chiropractic or physiotherapy treatments, ambulance services, occupational therapy, speech therapy, prosthetics, medication, medical supplies or equipment.

Homemaker benefits

If you're a homemaker, you are also entitled to benefits if a crash leaves you disabled — from your eighth day of disability.

ICBC Homemaker Benefits pay up to $145 a week for a person to perform household tasks on your behalf. This benefit is not paid for family members who perform household tasks.

ICBC defines "family" as:

"A group of individuals who either live with the insured under the same roof, or, the insured's immediate family, such as husband, wife, mother, father, sister, brother, son, daughter, or any of their spouses."

Wage loss benefits

As part of the Accident Benefits package, ICBC also provides Wage Loss Benefits.

Injury support

ICBC's Rehabilitation Department provides assistance for people who are catastrophically injured in motor vehicle crashes.
