Your settlement

What does it mean to settle a claim?

Settling a claim means agreeing on how much ICBC will pay to help you with losses suffered in a crash, such as treatment costs, lost wages or pain and suffering.

Your ICBC adjuster is authorized to offer you a settlement. When you are ready to settle your claim, you may need to complete some paperwork to finalize the settlement agreement. Your adjuster will fully explain this process to you at that time.
