Has your claim been denied? If you don't agree with your adjuster's decision, here is what you can do.
Your adjuster may not be aware of information that could affect your claim.
Talk to your adjuster's manager
If after talking to your adjuster you are still not satisfied, ask to speak to the manager.
The manager can review the details of your denied claim.
If necessary, the matter may be referred to ICBC’s claims coverage committee.
This committee can determine whether, in particular circumstances, a policyholder’s coverage applies. It also may consider a request for financial relief when a claim is denied due to a policy breach.
If ICBC is unable to address your concerns, your next step is to dispute through the courts.
In all cases, small claims court or Supreme Court has the final say. It could take as long as two years or more before your case goes to court.
