Here's what you need to book, reschedule, or cancel your appointment:

Due to a Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) change, anyone using a Canadian Citizenship Certificate issued on or after Feb. 1, 2012 as ID cannot apply for or renew an EDL or EIC.

Appointments must be booked ahead of time, either online or by phone.
The easiest way to book, reschedule, or cancel an appointment is online.
Hours: Available 4 a.m. to midnight Monday to Saturday and 9 a.m. to midnight on Sundays.
Note: To book online, you must already have a B.C. driver's licence (BCDL), BCID, EDL or EIC.
If you have not previously held a BCDL or BCID you will need to book by phone.
Call the EDL Customer Line at 1-866-972-6888 Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Note: The customer line is unable to provide earlier appointment times than those available on the Online Booking service.
A combination EIC/BC Services health care card is not available.
If you would like a BC Services health care card, do not make an EIC appointment. Just visit any driver licensing office.

Booking confirmation number
Once your EIC application appointment is confirmed, you'll receive a booking confirmation number.
Important! Be sure to record the number and keep it safe for future use.
