Book your enhanced indentification card application appointment
You must book an appointment for an enhanced identification card (EIC) online or by phone before you attend your appointment in person at an EDL designated driver licensing centre to:
- get your first EIC
- renew your EIC
- replace a lost or stolen EIC, or
- update your EIC because you changed your name or address.

How to book or reschedule your appointment
The easiest way to book, reschedule, or cancel an appointment is to use the EDL Online Booking Service.
Hours: Available 4 a.m. to midnight Monday to Saturday and 9 a.m. to midnight on Sundays.
You can also call the EDL Customer Line at 1-866-972-6888 Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Booking confirmation number
Once your EIC application appointment is confirmed, you'll receive a booking confirmation number.
Important! Your booking confirmation number is important. Be sure to record the number and keep it safe for future use.
