Due to a Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) change, anyone using a Canadian Citizenship Certificate issued on or after Feb. 1, 2012 as ID cannot apply for or renew an EDL or EIC.

Hours: Available 4 a.m.–midnight Monday to Saturday, and 9 a.m.–midnight on Sundays.
Note: To book online, you must already have a B.C. driver's licence (BCDL), BCID, EDL or EIC.
If you have not previously held a BCDL or BCID you need to book by phone.

When you come in for your appointment
Note: if you're under 19, a parent or legal guardian must come with you.
Booking confirmation number
Once your EDL application appointment is confirmed, you'll receive a booking confirmation number.
Important: Be sure to record the number and keep it safe for future use.
