After passing the knowledge and vision tests, you will have to take a road test.
You may take the road test as soon as you feel ready to do so.
If you pass the road test: You will qualify for a regular B.C. driver’s licence.
If you don’t pass the road test: You can take the test again. We will issue you a learner’s licence. However, you will have to hand in the driver’s licence issued to you in the country you moved from.
With a learner’s licence, you can drive only when accompanied by a qualified driver.
After passing the road test, we will return your former driver’s licence to you.
