The Office of the Superintendent of Motor Vehicles (OSMV) is responsible for assessing drivers and making driver fitness decisions. One of the tools they use is called a DriveABLE assessment.
If you have a medical condition that may affect your ability to drive safely, you may be referred for a DriveABLE assessment. It's used to evaluate your cognitive skills that could affect your driving ability, such as your memory, attention, reaction time and judgment.
For more information, see:
DriveABLE is a partnership between the OSMV and DriveABLE.
ICBC is not associated with DriveABLE and can not assist with scheduling of tests or providing information on assessment results.
