How do I cancel my insurance?

B.C. Residents
To cancel your ICBC insurance, take your insurance policy and licence plates to your Autoplan broker.
You may have to pay a cancellation fee.
If you qualify for a refund, ICBC will mail a refund cheque to you shortly after your broker has processed the cancellation.
If the insurance was paid for with a credit card, the refund may be credited to the credit card used to pay for the initial transaction. For more information, please contact your Autoplan Broker.
If you are paying for your insurance in monthly installments, any refund will be applied to your ICBC payment plan.
If you owe money to ICBC, your refund will be transferred to your account as a debt payment
If you are outside B.C.
If you have left B.C., you must write a letter to ICBC to cancel your insurance.
