    • What happens after I submit my online application?

      You will receive an e-mail confirming that we have received your application. We will contact you if you are shortlisted for a position.

      We encourage you to continue to update your profile and check our job postings regularly for positions that match your interests and experience. Please ensure you "release" your profile in order to be considered for other positions as well.

    • How are job candidates selected?

      The recruitment process typically includes, but is not limited to, the following: testing, interview series, reference checks, security checks, and education verification.

    • How can I search or apply for jobs?

      Check your system requirements:

      1.Turn off your pop up blocker
      2. Use our recommended web browsers (Internet Explorer 6 and 7 and Firefox 2.0 or higher). Attention MAC users: We do not support Safari.
      3. Use Adobe Reader Version 7.1 or higher
      4. Enable Javascript
      5. Check your cookie and browser settings

      Using the career portal

      1.Prepare your resume.
      2. Select 'Search for Jobs'.
      3. Click 'Start' to view all opportunities. To search by keyword or criteria, specify search criteria and click 'start'.
      4. Click the job title link to view the posting description.
      5. Click 'Apply' to submit your application. You'll first be asked to create a candidate profile that summarizes your skills and experience. If you already have a profile, click 'Log in' at the top of the page.
      6. Attach your resume and cover letter.
      7. Make note of your login ID and password for future use.

    • Will I have to take a skills assessment test?

      Some positions require skills testing (written, oral, or online) as part of the assessment phase of the recruitment process. If you are invited into the selection process, you will be given advance notice of the assessment requirements and details.

    • Where do interviews take place?

      Most interviews take place at our Head Office in North Vancouver. However, the location of interviews could vary depending on where the job is located. If you are invited into the selection process, you will be given advance notice of the interview location details.

    • What will ICBC do with my personal information?

      ICBC collects your personal information to assess your suitability as a candidate for current and future job opportunities. We do this in accordance with the provisions of the Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act. By registering to create a candidate profile or applying for a position, you consent to being added to ICBC’s candidate database. Successful applicants’ personal information may be used for ICBC’s human resource programs.

    • How do I release my profile?

      1. Log in to your candidate profile with your username and password.
      2. Click on the "Overview and Release" tab.
      3. Click the "Release Profile" radio button.
      4. Click "Complete".

    • What if I have forgotten my password?

      1. Access the Forgotten your password application.

      2. Type in your username and email. Your password will be sent to your email account. Do not create a duplicate candidate profile.

    • How long does my profile stay active?
      Your profile stays active as long as you are regularly updating it. If your profile is inactive for 18 months, it will be deleted. Once your profile is deleted, ICBC is unable to consider your candidacy for future job opportunities and you can no longer login with your existing user name.
    • How do I delete my profile?

      1. Log in to your candidate profile with your username and password.
      2. Select "Delete Registration". Once your profile is deleted, ICBC is unable to consider your candidacy for future job opportunities and you can no longer login with your existing user name.

    • Who can I contact if I have technical questions regarding the application process?
