Carol Brown has been practicing law in B.C. for close to 20 years. Her expertise includes a focus on commercial law as well as mediation, teaching and consulting in the areas of conflict resolution and strategic planning. Carol is currently a principal in Vision Quest Leadership Development Inc.
In addition to her work with ICBC's Board of Directors, Carol currently sits on the Board of the Canadian Bar Association (BC Branch) Benevolent Society and serves as its Treasurer. And she was recently a director on the Prince George Airport Authority, where she sat on the Audit and Human Resources Committees.
Carol's board experience began over twenty years ago and includes, the Red Cross Society in Toronto, the St. Patrick's House Society and the Prince George Folk Fest Society.
Carol began her career as a tax lawyer, working for Price Waterhouse in Toronto and Vancouver from 1986-1988. After moving to Prince George, she specialized in commercial law and taxation and practiced in partnership for twenty years as a solicitor.
Carol recently completed her Master of Arts in leadership, focusing her thesis on community economic development. She also has a C.G.A. designation, a law degree from the University of Western Ontario and a Bachelor of Commerce. A life-long learner, Carol is currently completing her doctoral studies in the area of organizational development, with a specific focus on Corporate Social Responsibility.
