Diane Fulton is the Executive Director, Investments of the University of British Columbia Faculty Pension Plan. She manages the investment of its $1.3 billion pool of pension assets.
Diane attended the University of Toronto and earned an Honours Bachelor of Science degree, majoring in Mathematics. She received a Masters of Business Administration degree from York University, with a Finance Major.
Diane spent the majority of her career in investment banking and was Vice President and Director, Corporate Finance, at Scotia McLeod Inc. Her responsibilities encompassed a full range of investment banking activities including preparation of prospectuses, company valuations, fairness opinions, financing proposals and financial testimony for regulatory hearings. She was also retained by Westcoast Energy (now Duke Energy) and Belkorp Industries to complete various corporate finance projects.
Prior to her appointment to the ICBC Board, Diane acted as an ex-officio member of the ICBC Investment Committee for two years. She is currently on the Board of Directors, Audit Committee and Human Resources Committee of Pacific Northern Gas Ltd. Diane is an advisor to the Investment Committee of Pacific Blue Cross and a member of the Investment Committee of the Vancouver Opera Foundation. Diane is past member of the Board of Directors and Investment Committee of the Canadian Scholarship Trust Foundation, as well as past member of the Board of Directors of the Pension Investment Association of Canada. She is past Trustee and past Chair of the Finance, Planning and Operations Committee of the Vancouver Public Library.
