Kellee Irwin joined ICBC in 2006 as Vice President of Underwriting. In this role, Kellee led the underwriting team in redefining ICBC’s rate design process to ensure rates are set to better reflect the risk each customer represents. In May 2008, Kellee was appointed Senior Vice President of Insurance, Marketing & Underwriting on an interim basis.
Kellee has over 20 years experience in the property and casualty insurance industry. She was previously an account manager for GE Insurance Solutions, where she was responsible for the marketing and underwriting of reinsurance programs through brokers and other distribution channels. Prior to this she was Vice President, Personal Insurance, at Allianz Canada , where she played a key part in developing pricing and market penetration strategies and business plans in Alberta , Ontario and Atlantic Canada.
Kellee holds a Business Management degree and two professional designations that recognize her industry expertise and experience: Fellow Chartered Insurance Professional (FCIP) from the Insurance Institute of Canada and Canadian Risk Management (CRM) from the Global Risk Management Institute.
In her spare time, Kellee is an avid motorcyclist and active volunteer. She is president of the British Columbia Safety Council, serves on the board of the Canadian Heritage Motorcycle Museum Foundation, and on the steering committee of the Motorcyclists Confederation of Canada's Women's Riding Council.
