Data Warehouse Architect (SFA) — Ad # 6444

Within ICBC’s Data Warehouse function there are various exciting opportunities for individuals who seek to work closely with management and staff to develop information solutions that will support ICBC’s lines of business.
In partnership with business clients, the Data Warehouse (DW) teams design and develop usable, reliable, integrated, secure data analysis and reporting tools to support decision making throughout the corporation.
The Enterprise Senior Functional Analyst will be a lead role in IS Business Information Services that will establish an integrated plan for business intelligence and reporting solutions. From a business perspective they will align business priorities with analytic and reporting solutions ensuring integration where appropriate. This role requires Data Warehouse/Business Intelligence knowledge as well as an understanding of current and emerging technologies and conceptual and analytic skills.
Specific Requirements:
- Advanced knowledge of Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing principles.
- A comprehensive knowledge of the Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing processes.
- Advanced knowledge of Business Intelligence and Data Warehousing
- methodologies and best practices
- Advanced knowledge of the architecture required to deliver integrated reporting
- Advanced knowledge of quality assurance practices relating to software.
- Knowledge of data modeling techniques and best practices.
- Advanced knowledge of the Business Objects (or similar) BI software suite and advanced familiarity with OLAP technology.
- Knowledge of Oracle and UNIX environments.
- Experience working with business areas to understand Business
- Intelligence/reporting
- Requirements gathering and using that knowledge to design integrated IS solutions.
