Senior Systems Analyst — Ad # 6452
North Vancouver
ICBC is undergoing transformational change within its business organization and this has significant ramifications to our applications and systems environment. To position us in preparation for this change we have openings for Senior Systems Analysts to work in applications delivery in our IS Solutions department. The assignments will be project-oriented and cover the ground from requirements definition, design, construction, test, and implementation. Solutions to business problems may be built in-house or acquired and involve integration with our existing portfolio of application assets. Technology platforms encompass the mainframe and distributed environments.
Projects will involve any or all of the lines of business within ICBC and while existing knowledge of insurance, vehicle, and driver licensing is an asset, of more importance is the ability to operate successfully in unfamiliar business and application areas and work collaboratively with business analysts and other subject matter experts. The work will involve hands-on analytical assignments within projects and/or leading a team of programmer/analysts.
You will bring a solid background of experience in business application development, particularly in the role of a senior and lead analyst. A strong set of skills and experience in systems analysis and systems development practices is required.
