All motorists in B.C. must carry basic automobile insurance. For residents, it is provided through ICBC's Basic Autoplan [click for definition].
Basic Autoplan is for anyone in B.C. who owns a car.
Generally, Basic Autoplan provides coverage to protect you as a person in five different ways:
