Paying a traffic violation ticket

We accept payment of your traffic violation tickets by phone, in person, or by mail.

Outstanding tickets must be paid before you can renew your driver’s licence.

Hours:

Monday to Friday 8 a.m. – 7 p.m.

Saturday 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Please have your driver’s licence and Visa, MasterCard or American Express handy when you call.

Paying in person

Take your ticket with you and pay at one of the following locations:

• Banks and other financial institutions (check that they offer this service before you visit)
• ICBC Expressways
• most Autoplan brokers
  
• Any driver licensing office
• ICBC claim centres
  

Pay by cash, cheque or money order. Most locations will also accept credit or debit cards.

Paying by mail

If you would like to pay by mail, it is important that you send all the right information:

1. A cheque or money order payable to the Insurance Corporation of British Colombia.
2. A photocopy of the front of the ticket or a note with the following details about the ticket:

• The ticket number and date
• Your full name, address, driver's licence number and date of birth
• The Act and Section number of the offence you have committed (this information will be written on the ticket)

For security, please don’t send cash in the mail. Also, keep your cancelled cheque or money order receipt as proof of payment.
