Heather Charlton

Heather Charlton holds a BA and an MA from the University of Victoria in adolescent counselling and has 15 years experience working as a counsellor in social services (she currently works as a prevention counsellor in Vancouver). She’s been speaking in schools across Canada for over 13 years and tells her story as the impaired driver in a horrific crash— and her best friend who died at the scene.

Heather’s youth-friendly, positive and strength-based message helps students think about how they can keep themselves and their friends safe.

Audience: High school

Requirements: LCD projector, screen, microphone and sound system.

Cost: $500 per presentation, $250 for additional presentations at same location. Travel expenses if outside the Lower Mainland. (Cost may be waived by speaker if group cannot afford it.)
