About Us

The Insurance Corporation of British Columbia (“ICBC” or “We”) is a provincial Crown corporation which provides universal auto insurance to British Columbia drivers through its authorized Autoplan brokers. We are also responsible for driver licensing, vehicle registration and licensing in British Columbia.

ICBC also does significant work in the field of road safety, investing in loss-prevention initiatives and programs to reduce crashes, injuries and deaths.

In the event of any omission of information from this Website, or any contradiction or difference between anything on this Website and the Act, the Regulation, any other applicable legislation, any applicable special coverage certificate or optional policy, you must treat the Act, Regulation, other applicable legislation, special coverage certificate or optional policy as the full and correct statement of your insurance coverage and your rights and obligations at law.

The ICBC Twitter accounts are managed by the Communications division on behalf of colleagues across ICBC.

We will automate no more than two tweets a day, but will personally respond to all other messages.
