ICBC thanks B.C. volunteers for making roads safer

In recognition of National Volunteer Week (April 6 to 12), ICBC is thanking the thousands of volunteers in B.C. for their continued support and commitment to delivering road safety programs in their communities and making our roads safer for everyone.

Last year across B.C., these volunteers spent more than 160,000 hours delivering the new Cell Watch program which was introduced in 2013 to remind drivers not use their cellphones behind the wheel, the Speed Watch program to help reduce speed-related crashes as well as auto crime programs to help educate drivers on how to prevent auto crime and to identify and recover stolen vehicles.
