The Material Damage Procedures Manual is published by the Insurance Corporation of British Columbia ("ICBC"). The purpose of the Manual is:

1. To help our estimators and other claims staff to ensure the uniform and equitable handling of claims involving material damage to vehicles.
2. To allow our business partners in the automotive repair and service industry (such as car and glass repair shops, tow operators, suppliers and rental car companies) to understand our policies and procedures for repairing damage.

By making the Manual available through our website, ICBC is also providing customers with a transparent understanding of our policies and procedures for repairing vehicle damage. It is our policy to be fair and reasonable in the settlement of insurance claims and in our dealings with the automotive repair and service industry.
