Steve was a firefighter in Surrey for 20 years and is now the Deputy Chief in Esquimalt. He shares his stories as a first responder to numerous vehicle crashes, including teen fatalities. He also shares a powerful story about a distracted driver who crashed into a fire truck, his experience as a firefighter in New York shortly after 9/11, and the results of mixing drugs and driving at a music festival.
Steve is a father, coach and world traveler. His stories highlight the importance of choosing your friends and making choices that will shape your future – good or bad.
Audience: Suitable for Grade 12 students
Cost: ICBC sponsors $500 for one presentation per school year, per school
