Steve is an Assistant Fire Chief of Operations for the Surrey Fire Department. He shares his stories as a first responder to numerous vehicle crashes, including teen fatalities. He also shares a powerful story about a distracted driver who crashed into a fire truck, his experience as a firefighter in New York shortly after 9/11, and the results of mixing drugs and dangers of going to a party without a plan of getting home.

Steve is a father, coach and world traveler. His stories highlight the importance of choosing your friends and making choices that will shape your future – good or bad.

  • Audience: Suitable for Grade 11 and 12 students
  • Cost: ICBC will sponsor $500 for a one-hour online Q&A with the speaker
  • Presentation: Pre-recorded streaming video presentation will be available for two weeks
  • Requirements: Host the online Q&A via Zoom, MS-Teams, Google Classroom, or other online meeting app between the speaker and your students​​
