Your ICBC supplier account number

Occupational therapy firms that wish ​to bill ICBC directly are required to submit an application for an ICBC vendor number​ and have their participating occupational therapists submit a signed Participation Agreement confirming that they will adhere to the ​Program Guide​ and Health Care Services Terms​. Occupational therapists who sign the agreement are placed on an approved list of service providers; however, being on the list does not guarantee work.​​

Invoicing and reporting

Occupational therapists on the approved list of service providers may use the Health Care Provider Portal (HCPP) to submit invoices and reports directly to ICBC. Section 10 of the Program Guide provides additional detail about invoicing.

Treatment guidelines

Occupational therapists are expected to assess and determine their treatments in accordance with the College practice standards.​

​Note: Oversight is the responsibility of a health care provider to ensure treatment plans are in alignment with the treatment goals of the primary care provider(s). This may involve sharing of the assessment findings and treatment recommendations with the primary care provider, in accordance with the College's information sharing guidelines.

Fees

The hourly rate for Occupational Therapy services is adjusted annually based on the Consumer Price Index. The hourly rate is outlined in the Insurance (Vehicle) Act and the Enhanced Accident Benefit Regulation and is listed below.​

​​This fee applies to all treatments administered on or after April 1, 2024, regardless of the date of the crash that caused the injury.

Equipment purchases

ICBC participates in the BC Government Mobility Devices and Durable Medical Equipment Master Standing Agreement. Where durable medical equipment purchases are required to support ICBC customer care, the purchase should be made from an approved supplier as set out in Section 9 of the Program Guide​.
