Policy on initiating glass claim on trade-in vehicles

Customers must initiate a glass claim prior to trading in their vehicle at a dealership.

Policy

When a customer is trading in their vehicle at a dealership, they must initiate a glass claim prior to transferring title to the dealership.

Important: The repairs must be completed within seven (7) days of the trade-in to the dealership, including all calibrations covered by the claim. Exceptions must be pre-authorized by Provincial Glass Operations (PGO) and be noted on the claim.

Initiate claim

The customer can initiate the glass claim in the following ways.

Customer access	Who the customer must contact	Repair shop action
Customer has access to a glass repair program facility	The glass repair program facility	ensure that the registered owner signs the work order, and collect deductible.
Customer lives in a remote area and does not have access to a glass repair program facility	The Claims Contact Centre (CCC)
