Eligibility
This policy applies to all trade-ins for glass claims.
Policy
The deductible must be paid in full directly to the glass repair facility by the insured or their representative prior to the trade-in being completed.
Automotive dealers cannot:
- pay the deductible on behalf of the insured, or
- write the deductible into a sales agreement.
Rationale
The customer is making a claim against their insurance policy while they owned the vehicle, and is responsible for paying the deductible.
