Your 2025 rebate

At the end of our most recent fiscal year, ICBC is in a strong financial position thanks to better-than-expected investment income and the work we’ve done to build back our capital reserves. So, we’ve issued another $110 rebate to eligible insurance customers.

If you haven't received your rebate

Canada Post labour action

Due to possible Canada Post labour action, rebate cheques may be delayed. If you haven't yet received your rebate:

1. Sign up for direct deposit
2. Submit a request for ICBC to re-issue your rebate

When you submit a request to re-issue your rebate, we’ll look into its status and email you with an update. Depending on the reason for your request, you may have to contact ICBC by phone.

If you sign up for direct deposit and later receive a cheque in the mail, please destroy the cheque as it will not be honoured and you could incur charges at your financial institution if you attempt to cash it.

Sign in to our online tool to check the payment method for your rebate.

Who is eligible for the 2025 rebate

Most customers who had an active Basic insurance policy in January 2025, including personal and commercial policies, are eligible to receive this rebate. Customers with multiple policies will receive a rebate for each policy that is eligible.

Some policy types are not eligible, including:

  • Storage policies

  • Temporary Operation Permits

  • Policies for golf carts, off-road vehicles, limited speed motorcycles, trailers and collector vehicles

When your rebate will be processed

Most rebates will be processed between mid-March and May, 2025. Note that this is when ICBC will process your rebate and may not be when you receive it.

Even after ICBC has issued your rebate, the following factors could affect when you receive it:

  • Processing times at your financial institution or credit card issuer

  • The date of your payment plan’s next scheduled payment

  • Mail processing and delivery timelines in your community

All eligible customers will be sent a letter with details on how they will receive their rebate.

How you'll receive your 2025 rebate

Most customers will receive their rebate via the payment method used to pay for their eligible policy. If you have multiple policies and paid using different payment methods, you may receive your rebates in multiple ways.
