Medical exams and road test re-exams
RoadSafetyBC may request that a driver have a medical exam or a road test re-exam to help determine their medical fitness to drive. In these cases, you’ll be informed by RoadSafetyBC by letter.
Learn what to do if you've been asked to complete a driver medical exam.
For Class 5 or 7 drivers (non-commercial vehicle drivers), if RoadSafetyBC needs to assess your medical fitness to drive, you may be asked to complete an Enhanced Road Assessment (ERA).
For commercial drivers (Class 1 to 4 licences) or motorcyclists (Class 6), find out what to expect if you're asked by RoadSafetyBC to complete a road test re-exam.
