​​​​​​​​​​​​​​Request a reissue of your ICBC relief rebate

If you’re eligible for an ICBC relief rebate but haven’t yet received yours, you can request that the rebate is reissued to you.  

Please note that ICBC does not issue rebates by text message or email. ​

You’ll need to provide ICBC with your driver’s licence number, licence plate number, insurance policy number (also known as the ​​​certificate number), ​current mailing address, email address and daytime telephone number.  

Rebate eligibility 

If you had an active eligible Basic auto insurance policy at any time during the month of February 2022, you'll receive a rebate. Eligible personal insurance customers receive $110 and eligible commercial customers receive $165. 

Rebate payment methods

If you’ve already signed up for direct deposit with ICBC, you’ll receive your reissued rebate in your account. 

Otherwise, you’ll receive it as a ch​​eque. 

What happens next 

  • ICBC will review your request and determine if you’re eligible for a reissued rebate​. 
  • You may be required to phone ICBC if additional details are required to process your request. 
  • Once your request has been processed, you’ll get an email with the status of your request and if applicable, the payment method. 
  • Your reissued rebate will be sent to you within three to five business days. Please allow additional time for ​cheques to be mailed.
