Visit a driver licensing office

Get ready for your visit to a B.C. driver licensing office by double-checking what ID you need, how much you'll have to pay, and how to book your appointments.

  • Customers with appointments: 10:30 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
Richmond Lansdowne and Surrey Guildford
  • Customers with appointments: 8:30 a.m.–2:30 p.m.
  • Walk-in customers: 2:30–4:30 p.m.

Can your service be completed online or by phone?

In order to protect our customers and employees, please search for the service you need on icbc.com and see if you can complete it online or by phone to avoid visiting a driver licensing office.

Whenever possible, please try to complete the following services online or by phone:

If you're not able to complete them online, please book an appointment.

Booking a road test

Continuing with our phased approach of increasing in-person services, road tests are currently only available for eligible customers.

Booking an EDL or EIC appointment

Appointments for Enhanced Driver Licences (EDL) and Enhanced ID Cards (EIC) are currently unavailable.

Booking a knowledge test or other driver licensing services

If the service isn't available online or by phone, you can now book using our new app.

Prepare for your road test appointment

Before you come to your road test, make sure you have the right ID, documentation, and that your vehicle is test-ready.
Having two pieces of accepted ID is required for almost every transaction at a driver licensing office.

Fees

We accept cash, major credit cards, debit, and even personal cheques.
