Applying for a role

When you’re applying for an opportunity, we’ll review your application using your resume, and your cover letter if provided. Some applications may also require you to fill out a questionnaire.

After you submit your application online, you’ll receive an e-mail confirming that we’ve received it. If you’re shortlisted for the role, we’ll reach out to you directly for next steps.

The time it takes to shortlist candidates and fill roles is affected by several factors, including operational requirements, team capacity and number of applicants for a particular role. As a result, we’re not able to provide universal timelines for shortlisting, interviews or offers.

Contact us if you have questions about applying.

Applying to a talent pool

Currently, we accept applications to two talent pools:

By applying to a talent pool, you’re becoming a member of our talent pipeline and may be considered for a variety of roles. We’ll try to match you to a suitable, available role; however, applying to a talent pool is not a guarantee of employment.

After you submit your application, our Recruitment team will connect with you to get to know you, discuss your interests and experience and we’ll work to match you to current or future opportunities that complement your knowledge, skills and abilities.

If you need adjustments

If you need any adjustments or accommodations during the application process, we want to help. Adjustments can include:

  • Interview locations that are accessible for people using wheelchairs and other mobility devices

  • Assistive software

  • Revised interview formats, such as phone or video

Let us know what you need to support you doing your best work.

  • If you aren’t interested in a particular role just yet, you can still create a profile.

  • Complete the required fields and upload your supporting documentation from your desktop, Google Drive or Dropbox.

The recruitment process

|

You'll receive an e-mail confirming that we have received your application, and we will contact you if you are shortlisted for a position. You can also log into careers.icbc.com to see status updates on any open roles you’ve applied for.

Some roles require an assessment, and all roles will have the relevant pre-employment checks (such as reference, security checks and education, if applicable).

Yes, you can.

If you choose to delete it and apply for a role in the future, you’ll need to create a new profile.

You can use the same email address you used in the previous profile; however, any applications and other information won’t be saved.
