Catherine Holt is a management consultant in Victoria, B.C. and the Chair of BC Transit.
From 2016 to 2020 she was Chief Executive Officer of the Greater Victoria Chamber of Commerce. Prior to her role with The Chamber, Ms. Holt was President and Principal Consultant with Sage Group Management Consultants for 18 years.
Ms. Holt works at the executive level with public and private sector clients, providing strategic advice on public policy and government decision-making processes, and with not-for-profits, designing and recruiting boards of directors, strategic planning, evaluating new lines of business and organizational design. She has worked on many transformational projects in the public sector.
Ms. Holt was an Assistant Deputy Minister in the BC Government, Cabinet Communications Advisor for the Yukon Government and a Producer for CBC National Radio and TV Current Affairs. She has been a board member of the Victoria Police Board, the BC Gaming Commission, the Vancouver Island School of Art and Child and Nature Alliance of Canada. She has a Master of Arts from UWO, a Bachelor of Arts (honours) from UBC and was a Certified Management Consultant. Ms. Holt also taught advanced strategy for the MBA program at Royal Roads University and is a member of the International Women's Forum.
