Since 2016, we’ve partnered with BC Transplant to increase awareness of the impact of organ donation.
How the partnership works
ICBC serves thousands of customers each year. We have a unique opportunity to help raise awareness of organ donation through:
Signage and video clips at driver licensing offices
Mailers that are sent with each driver’s licence, BC Services Card and BCID
Customers’ appointment reminder emails
Register your decision today
You can register your legal decision online any time.
All you need is your British Columbia Personal Health Number (PHN) and your name, birth date and address.
Your decision stays registered as long as your PHN stays the same. You can also update your decision online at any time.

Some facts about organ donation in B.C.
One organ donor can save up to eight lives.
Most people in B.C. support organ donation, but only about 30% of them have registered their decision.
There’s no age limit to donate or to register your decision.
If you register when you’re under 19, you’ll need to re-register again once you turn 19.
Your decision is confidential and can only be accessed by BC Transplant’s donation team.
