ICBC supports review of Enhanced Care

Today, the British Columbia Legislature appointed a Special Committee of MLAs to examine how Enhanced Care is working and identify opportunities to strengthen the care-based model.

When we launched Enhanced Care in May 2021, legislation committed to an independent review of the model within five years.

As the Committee gets underway, we look forward to supporting their work. Enhanced Care was designed to evolve, and this review is an opportunity to share the benefits the model has delivered: more affordable insurance, improved access to benefits, and a focus on helping those injured in a crash recover as fully as possible. At the same time, it gives us the chance to listen, learn, and continue improving how we deliver Enhanced Care.

Our purpose remains clear: to provide affordable, care-based insurance that supports recovery for anyone injured in a crash. We look forward to participating in the review and continuing to ensure that Enhanced Care meets the needs of everyone in B.C.
